How to stay un-scammed

False Hero will attract the usual pre-launch noise: fake keys, fake “codes,” client injectors. The game is a paid single-player Steam title with a free demo. There are no redeem codes. There are no scripts. If a stranger DMs you an executable, that is not a Combat Art.

Confirm dates on Steam news. Confirm patches in the client. Confirm this wiki against those two. If we disagree with the store, the store wins.

Steam news is the only changelog that counts when this wiki and a Discord rumour disagree. The updates hub exists so you do not have to live in the client’s news tab; it is still a mirror, not a source. If Ytopia pins a new press kit, it will land here as a URL, not as a rewritten trailer.

Publisher and developer are two names. Torchlight Games is the solo studio. Ytopia is the publisher on the store page and the account that posted the press-kit thread. If you want a patch, ask the developer channels. If you want store-page wording, look at Ytopia’s listing. Mixing them up is how fake official-codes accounts get traction.

What to click first

When 22 September 2026 arrives, this page should still be short. A good links hub is a door, not a maze. Steal a book, kill Ignorance, wishlist the rest of the Lands of the Gods. If you only have time for one extra click besides Steam, make it the beginner guide so the dash is rebound before the first Bloodspring, not after the first cheap death. Then steal a kit on the Combat Arts page and keep the release date bookmarked so October rumours do not overwrite September 22.
